Parfaits can actually be something your little one can eat with breakfast, lunch or a snack but for purposes of a quick healthy breakfast option we are going to use it for breakfast. Parfaits in other countries are desserts so I tell Nori she is eating dessert for breakfast (lol). This is a simple quick and delicious breakfast item, that will leave the child full and allow you sneak some fruits and other healthy food options in there. Think of it as the breakfast “ice cream sundae”. The ingredients below can be put together anyway you want. You don’t have to use them all at once and can play around with various different recipes each time you make this for your child.
INGREDIENTS
Vanilla Yogurt (or any flavor of your choice), Greek Yogurt (any flavor of your choice, or Non-Diary Yogurt
Dry Cereal (Your child’s favorite kind)
Fresh Fruit (Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, etc.)
Granola (suggest 3 years and up)
Smashed Graham Crackers
Honey (suggest 2 years and up)
Chia Seeds
Nuts and Seeds (age appropriate)
CREATING THE PARFAIT
Make the base the yogurt or graham crackers (if you choose to put graham crackers in the meal)
Then add the toppings you want
