Sometimes our days get hectic, but we still need a quick yet entertaining activity for our little ones without worrying about a lot of prep. I found this really tasty Gingerbread Cookie Kit from Target (yes Target is one of my favorite stores). It comes with four Gingerbread Cookies, White Icing, Red Icing, and Sprinkles, which is everything you need for a fun cookie decorating activity for just $4.99. If you want to use additional colors, you can purchase additional icing and sprinkles in the baking isle.
This activity requires little to no effort on the parent and may get a little messy but definitely worth the fun your child will have.
I did this activity with Nori because she is only 2, however if you have older children you can set them up a little station in the kitchen and let them get as creative as they want without you. Just keep an eye out to ensure their safety. This is a great family activity for all ages or independent activity for older children!
